By using Kopabay, all users acknowledge and agree to adhere to the policies outlined below. These policies are designed to ensure a safe, transparent, and efficient marketplace for everyone.

2. General Terms
Kopabay serves solely as an intermediary platform, enabling buyers to connect directly with sellers. As such, all transactions, including payments, delivery arrangements, and negotiations, are handled exclusively between the buyer and the seller. Sellers must also ensure their product listings are clear, precise, and reflective of the products they are offering. Kopabay does not assume responsibility for the actions of buyers or sellers but provides tools and support to facilitate smooth interactions.
3. For Buyers
Purchasing Products:
Buyers can browse products listed on Kopabay and contact sellers through the “Contact Seller” button available on each product page. This feature redirects the buyer to the seller’s WhatsApp, where further discussions about pricing, payment methods, and delivery can take place. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm product details and ensure all questions are answered before completing a purchase.
Returns and Refunds:
If the product does not meet expectations, buyers are encouraged to review the seller’s return policy carefully before purchasing. Each seller is responsible for setting their own terms regarding returns and refunds. While Kopabay encourages transparency and fairness, buyers should communicate directly with sellers to resolve any issues.
Product Verification:
Before committing to a purchase, buyers should ask sellers for additional information, photos, or clarifications about the product. This helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures that the buyer receives a product that matches their expectations.
Reporting Issues:
If a buyer encounters an unresponsive seller or a product that significantly deviates from the description, they may report the issue to Kopabay support. Kopabay will investigate and take appropriate action, such as warning the seller or suspending their account for repeated violations. Buyers can reach support through kopabaybctrade@gmail.com.
4. For Sellers
Responsibilities of Sellers:
Sellers on Kopabay must ensure that their product listings are accurate, truthful, and provide sufficient detail. This includes clear descriptions of the product’s condition, size, and any other relevant information. Sellers are also required to set and communicate their return and refund policies clearly. As sellers engage directly with buyers, they are responsible for handling inquiries, negotiating prices, and ensuring smooth delivery arrangements.
Delivery and Payment:
Sellers are solely responsible for arranging delivery and determining the costs involved. Delivery options should be discussed and agreed upon with buyers on WhatsApp. Payments are also managed directly between the buyer and seller, with popular options such as mobile money, bank transfer, or cash on delivery available based on mutual agreement.
Listings and Inventory Management:
Product listings on Kopabay must comply with the platform’s guidelines. Sellers are encouraged to keep their inventory up to date and remove or edit listings as needed to reflect product availability. Any listings found to be misleading or in violation of the platform’s policies may be removed by Kopabay.
Interaction with Buyers:
Sellers must maintain professional and prompt communication with buyers. Responding to inquiries quickly and delivering on commitments, such as delivery timelines, builds trust and increases sales. Sellers are also encouraged to establish good relationships with buyers by offering excellent customer service and adhering to agreed-upon terms.
Handling Disputes:
In the event of a dispute, sellers are expected to work with buyers to reach an amicable resolution. This may involve offering refunds or exchanges if the issue is valid and falls within the agreed return policy. If disputes cannot be resolved directly, sellers can request mediation through Kopabay’s support team.
5. Prohibited Items
Kopabay maintains a strict policy on the types of items that can be listed on the platform. The sale of illegal items, counterfeit goods, hazardous materials, stolen items, or any products violating Zambian laws is strictly prohibited. Sellers found listing such items will face account suspension or termination. Buyers are encouraged to report any prohibited items they come across to Kopabay support.
6. Fees and Commissions
Kopabay does not charge any commission on sales made through the platform. Our goal is to provide an affordable and accessible marketplace for all users. Sellers can list their products for free and keep 100% of their earnings. However, sellers have the option to purchase premium services, such as product promotions or store upgrades, to increase visibility and attract more buyers. The specifics of these optional charges will be clearly outlined during the setup process.
7. Dispute Resolution
Kopabay encourages both buyers and sellers to resolve disputes directly through respectful and professional communication. In cases where a resolution cannot be reached, either party can escalate the issue to Kopabay support. The support team will review the case and act as a mediator to ensure a fair outcome. Repeated disputes caused by negligence or dishonesty may result in account suspension.
8. Liability Disclaimer
Kopabay does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of products listed on the platform. All transactions are conducted at the discretion of buyers and sellers. Kopabay cannot be held liable for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions conducted on the platform. Users are advised to exercise due diligence when buying or selling.
9. User Privacy
Kopabay values the privacy of its users. Personal information, such as contact details, is only shared between buyers and sellers to facilitate transactions. Any misuse of personal information, including harassment or unsolicited communication, will result in immediate action, including account suspension or termination.
10. Changes to the Policy
Kopabay reserves the right to update or modify these policies at any time to reflect changes in the platform or legal requirements. Users will be notified of any significant changes via email or announcements on the platform. By continuing to use Kopabay after such changes, users agree to be bound by the updated policies.
